Default Search History

Hi All,

whenever i write anything to search in google or any other search site, it gives me hint. For example if I write 'F' it will start showing 'Free E-Text Literature', 'FTP server' and all the previous search history started with letter 'F'. How can I turn it off and clear the search history?? Can someone help please...

Thanks,

Ayesha

Sounds like autocomplete to me

Go "Tools/Internet Options/Content" Then click on autocomplete to change your settings.

If you're using Firefox go:

"Tools/Internet Options/Privacy"
Open "Save form information" untick "Save information I enter in web page forms and the Search Bar".

I really don't think I have autocomplete on my computer but yet I still have this problem. Is there any other possible solutions or am I just not seeing it?

No, just do what Victor_fix has told you and restart your browser it should work just fine.

Jen what browser are you using and what version?

Try going to control panel/internet options/content.
