Default Cable Modem

for some reason, my internet is acting up and i have to keep on reseting the modem. the guy on tech support cant figure out how to fix it, but he was able to reset my modem from where he was. that still didnt fix my problem, but i was wondering if there was an application that would allow me to reset my modem myself, instead of reaching down there and unplugging it every 45 minutes. thanx in advance ^_^

hmm, the only thing i can think of is to log in to your modem (if it has such feature) via its IP in your browser ,like 192.168.X.X and search in there where you can find a reboot option.
my own modem doesn't have a software reset only hardware so i actually have to get up and walk !!
but unlike my D-Link wireless i can sit from my place and reboot it

modems don't typically have a 192.168 address.....becuase it's a modem...not a router or modem/router combo.....

demand a new modem.......stop wasting time trying to solve a problem they HAVE to fix for you...
