Default Weird desktop issue

Im building a desktop for a friend of mine and im getting a weird problem that could be a lot of factors but ive narrowed it down to a few. I was putting everything together and when i hook it up and power it on everything comes up (the processor fan, case fans, video card fan, lights on the motherboard) The problem is that i get no video signal, no post error codes.

Thinking its the video card i try it in another computer of mine and it works fine. Next i thought the motherboard. Replaced it with a newer one that i have and still nothin. Now on this motherboard it has 2 light up dies on board that display hex values of the post as it runs. The codes dont go anywhere. It stays at -- which according to the manual isnt even a code.

Im thinking it could be a power supply issue (less likely since all the lights and fans comes on so its getting power) maybe a processor issue? but again with any issue i should be getting a post error but im not receiving any.

Any ideas?

Although i hope thats the issue since its a simple fix ill be pissed bc i did all that work to replace the motherboard when it was just the SATA cable. Either way thanks for the advice and ill post back to let you know if it works.

If it's a poor/case power supply, then most likely it's underpowered.

Memory is next! Take out one stick, and then vice versa. Try running on one stick at a time.
