Bluetooth wireless keyboard/mouse. Not working...

I am on Vista Ultimate 32 bit OS. I have got the keyboard to work but cannot get the mouse to work. When I go into the control panel and click on the bluetooth program it says that the USB for the keyboard is inserted, but the mouse USB is not, now this is where it gets tricky as there was only one USB transmitter in the package and the shop staff assured me that you only need one to get them to work. Any ideas anyone?

Sorry to bump this, but I am still unable to get the mouse to work,

the keyboard is working fine.
