Default Hot CPU

I've been thinking about overclocking my computer recently, so i decided to check out the core temp of my computer and it turns out that its about 55 degrees celsius, which seems like an incredibly high number for about a 5% load. i plan on buying this heatsink, http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16835118223, before i do anything and ill probably reapply the thermal paste at the same time. do you guys think doing this will bring my temperature into a safe range to overclock? oh and im using Core Temp to check my temperatures.

i would at least get the 9700. 9500 is pretty loud i hear coughoscaryucough.

but depending on the amount of airflow you have right now in your case, which is a very important factor to the temp of your cpu. It might drop anywhere between 5c and 25c.
