Default Photoshop Elements

Hey guys, I just got recently attracted to photography while looking at some of the Picture Competitions and what not and I'm bery impressed!
Now, I'm by no means a photographer, I'm just starting to like it and started to take some pics with the Canon PowerShot A560, just a digital camera but takes really nice pictures!

Ok now to the point . Whats the difference between say PS CS3 and PS Elements?? cause the difference in price is huge!

Would Elements be the better choice for me that Im just starting and don't have a job to get all that money?

Thanks for any input!

Optional - get photoshop for more work/designs on pictures.

as for your budget ,Elements will do, it has better filters, frames and lots of stuff.
i used Elements a while back and the interface is cooler than PS.
most things can be done is Elements, but once your budget is ok get PS

You can do wayyyyyyyy more in Photoshop. The question is whether or not you will actually ever need to use the "wayyyyy more". I agree with Patrickv that for starters, PS Elements will likely be plenty. You might find yourself sometimes thinking - ah man, I wish I had PS so I could do x-y-z. However, you have to ask yourself if the huge jump in price is justified.

I recommend installing the 30-day trials of each and see which one you like.
