XP pro

i just installed a trial version of XP pro from an action pack subscription. When installing the software how does it know that its a trial version? Does it know by the product key code you enter before installing or is it just built into the disk that install it with. I am trying to learn computers and how it all works. Thanks in advance!

It's automatically a trial if you input the 'trial' key they provide for you. I don't believe there's any limitations with the trial, just that it expires.. the key that is.

You can change the key, so if you purchased a full key you should just be able to swap it over.

How long is the trial? Wasn't actually aware that they did a trial.

The keys are for 120 days, at least that's what I got for the XP Pro x64 trial when I did it.
