Default OEM products

Is it a good idea to avoid OEM components? I am viewing the HDDs on Newegg and the majority of them are OEM. Whats the deal? Thanks

OEM just means it wont come in a nice flashy box and it wont come with cables are screws, its a great way to save a few $$$ if you already have the cables and screws at home

yea after you get the first big build done, its more for upgrading a little bit, not to add but to replace

The screws and cables you need for the HD will come with your mobo. Get an OEM hard drive.
