I customize my folder icons by creating custom icons using the Microangelo Studio software.
I back up my files and folders by saving to a DVD disc. When I reformate my hard drive and then reload my data from the DVD, I loose my custom icon symbols.....the folders revert to the standard Windows folder icon. Is there any way I can keep my custom folder icons? Thanks |

Assuming the folder where your custom icons were kept is in C, you will definitely lose it after format and even repair.
