GFX sucks... 1.5GB is most likely DDR...

Overall? Sucks. If it was for less than $350, understandable. But overall, it's lowly compared to a Quad. Compared to a C2D? Not bad. Not the worst you could go

Is this a laptop or a desktop? If it's a desktop, then yeah, it's pretty bad. Graphics card and processor are both weak.

I would by a SATA drive, if that is an option. Made a HUGE difference for me.

I had a WD 7200 and it was good. I gota wd Raptor and i was loading games in half the time. So it made a huge difference for me, at firist i had everything bug a new hd so it was a bottle neck. now im good.

it all depends on what he's going to use hte computer for. you basically buy a graphics card for something a little better than your playing so you get good fps.

You'll only notice a difference if you were running offa like ATA66 or something

Get SATAII (3GB/sec). Fastest, and current most used.
