What would I need to look into for having several speakers set up, to where it projects the music clearly, but can be moved, as a station. It'd be moved on a rare occasion, but I was thinking just mounting some wheels on a metal frame.
I'd like to have the speakers hook up to a computer and TV. Not at the same time, but able to. I may have to look at stereo speakers, PC speakers may not be able to work as well. I am new to this sort of thing, I don't have a budget yet, but if it looks nice, and is reasonably priced, I'll look into it. Thanks.

Easy. As far as the portability, that's more up to you, but I'll voice my idea.
Speakers: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1138085354138 Receiver: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1171057791920 For the receiver, most anything will work fine. Do a search for the Pioneer VSX-516. It's last year's model of the one I linked you above. Both Pioneer receivers (516 & 517) pair nicely with the speakers above. Add a small sub, and you're going to have AMAZING sound. Even without a sub, overall, the sound quality of this setup is going to be better than any PC multimedia setup. As for portability, grab some stands and mount wheels on the bottom. Like I said, this part is more up to you. Stands: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1063670359162 (I'm sure you could get something cheaper) Buy all your wires online, and you'll have a cheap setup that will sound like systems double the price. If you need any help hooking anything hook to your TV/PC, whether at the same time or not, let me know. It's not too hard, but like I said, let me know. Aesthetically I don't know what you'll think, but sound-wise, you WILL NOT be disappointed!

Why buy a 5.1 receiver when you're only hooking up a 2.1 system? I'd say invest in a quality pair of stereo 3-way speakers and a nice stereo amp. Also be careful while mounting on metal, make sure you use some rubber lining or pads to prevent resonance.

There's nothing wrong with buying a cheap 5.1 receiver. Power is power. If he's hooking it up to a TV, why not have the option for surround sound?

Why $50? It's not like that 5.1 amp cost $50. Plus, its an audio station, not exactly the optimal place to put 5 or 7 speakers with a sub and have them sound legit.
