I like nero and used a long time but mostly for data backup with dvd and img or iso.
The question is related to Duel layer dvd's. Im receiving an error as: A non critical error occured during the operation which may result in a defective write. Do you wish to continue the write anyway. I don't have a clue and stopped the burn. but, that leads to another question. What the blue moon phuck is the diffirence between burning data with Favorites 'make data dvd' and Data 'make data dvd' thanks....... something else, i have some new ones and its the same thing. never the less i will try anyway. (to do a burn). Last edited by tremmor; 01-19-2008 at 05:44 PM. |

There is no difference. It's like visiting a website thats in your favorites rather than typing it in manually in the address bar. It'll take you to the same place.

I tried the burn. i just wanted to say ive burned many duel layers that was very small files. I have thousands of small embroidery files im backing up for my wife. I also received this error.
Insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service. Not enough quota available to process this command. im using xp pro, home built 2.5 gig intel processor, sata barracuda and 1 gig of ram. since im not a gamer i would find it hard to believe that the ram is not sufficient. any other thoughts? thanks Calibretto, i never seen no diff either. all my data has burned with either or. On the other hand Nero must have had some reasoning for both. maybe someone will know, im more curious than anything else. i don't see nothin diffirent. Just a thought, have you tried increasing your paging file. Some programs insist on using virtual memory no matter what physical memory you have.

If it's XP, Control Panel/Maintenance Performance/System/Advanced/Performance Settings/Advanced/Virtual Memory and Change
Mines 2042MB and 4092MB if that's any help or let windows manage it

No, I think the problem is somewhere else. Did you put the highest burning speed? Never do that. Select the one below.

No, i tried some other software and it was a disaster, but saved the DL.
The burning with duel layer is 2.5. Actually that was the first thing i looked at. No controls for duel layer. just 2.5 speed. honestly i don't have a clue. Ive queried and just more bs. im hoping, and maybe something else will come to mind. thanks One thing i haven't tried is leaving the system open with a multi session. Im still convinced that this is the issue. unfortunately im working so many hours when i get back i don't want to play and try. Now i need a another window. this was the day. i was thinking about the multisession, a burning a 1/4 at a time. just a thought though. ......later Last edited by tremmor; 01-20-2008 at 01:30 AM. |
