Asus P5B-VM can't boot on a Maxtor parallel ATA: ODD0 error

I'm upgrading grandma's computer so I bought a Core2 Duo and a P5B-VM motherboard. She has a 100GB PATA Maxtor drive that will not boot now with the new motherboard. It says ODD0 error: Seagate PL100 blabla...

Any quick fix for this ?
