Default Final Check - Fir Freaking Finally...

I think I finally got my computer sold (waiting on the guy to email me so I can drop the computer off at his house and pick up the cash ($800)). Therefore, I am going to buy a new one right away. I've been looking at these parts for a while, but I don't know if anything better for the buck has come out in a few weeks, or if anything really good will come out. Here is what I'm thinking:
(I have Zalman 9700LED, Monitor, OS, KB, Mouse)

E8400 CPU - $204.99 - http://www.ncixus.com/products/27784...70E8400/Intel/
GIGABYTE P35-DS3R Mobo - $126.99 - http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16813128050
Sapphire HD 3870 - $249.99 - http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16814102713
G.SKILL 4GB DDR2 800 RAM - $94.99 - http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16820231122
Corsair HX 520W PSU - $124.99 - http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16817139001
Antec 900 - $119.99 - http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16811129021
WD 320GB 7,200 HD - $79.99 - http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16822136074
Samsung 20X DVD+R - $29.99 - http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16827151153

Total Before MIR: $1031.92

Usage: Gaming, Overclocking, Computing.

I wish I had used a modular PSU when I built my stepsons system with that Antec 900. It really makes sense when using that case.

Do all the other parts sound up to date? (in the sense that there aren't any better parts for that price out).

It really does help, I cant imagine using the case without a modular supply, its not too wiring friendly even with one.

Also, Ive been hearing good things about the x38s as the newer motherboards for non-sli and shi, and since your grfx card is PCIE x2.0 you might as well get it if you have the money to spare.

So you're going the ATI way? Good for you, the HD3870 is a great card!

I say you go with the modular PSU. And yes everything sounds up-to-date and great parts IMO.

Yeah, the HD 3870 only sounded like it got a little worse FPS than the 8800GT, and it has better image quality, and is $50 cheaper.

Yup. Perfect CPU-GFX combo. Should overclock and run like a dream

Actually, 8800GT 512MB is cheaper and it performs around 15% faster than HD3870
