no, uncheck that box, so the image size is not modified
and to restore settings, I think there was an option for that... donīt remember and i donīt have photoshop on this computer.... also, for screen purposes, use rgb color, and ALWAYS use 72 dots per inch (DPI). you do that on the image size box. make a backup of the images before saving that settings |

not pointless, but it is better if the resolution of the image matches the resolution of the monitor to keep the original size. and also you can export the image to other programs (flash, after effects) with less problems...
also note that setting the resolution to 72dpi doesn't mean that you loose quality. You can lower the resolution, but keep the amount of pixels on the image, to do so, uncheck the box wich reads "resample image" (or something like that, I don't have an english version) on the image size box. |
