nvm go to http://www.cyberpowersystem.com/high...x79000.asp?v=d. If you make some minimal sacrifices, you could have $2500 laptop that will handle anything you throw at it. (I would go for the X800go) Option B would be the http://www.alienware.com/Configurato...de=SKU-DEFAULT which is slightlycheaper, and also would handle anything. If you get the alienware, opt for the 3.2 Ghz, and 1 gigabyte 512mb x2.

thanks guys for all the replies...
I like the dell gen 2 but it is pretty expensive. Lets say that I can only spend a maximum of 1800-200 dollars. Is there any nice laptops that can handle games like half life 2 and still function as a good college laptop at that price. _Alex |

get tthe inspirion 9300 from dell and get a 6800go and buy the ram yourself and you should fit in that price range
