Default 90 day service period??

So I contacted Vista support last night to solve a problem I was having with Vista Movie Maker. Apparently I am no longer covered under Vistas 90 day service period, so if I want technical support its gonna cost me a whopping $60 just to listen to them sit there and read off of a computer screen 'sorry your out of luck...let me transfer you another 16 times'

I dont recall ever being told in previous times I had to call that my days were numbered. Absolutely moronic.

Anyone else got snared by this? Freaking XP on my laptop never ran out of times I could call for service >

Yeah, im pissed.
