Default Email Access From Old Drive 2 New

Hey Guys,

I recently upgraded my laptop with a larger hard drive and placed the old drive in a hard drive enclosure which is connected via a USB cable. I have all my email addresses stored on the old drive and would lie to know how to access them via the USB cable. Can someone give me some instructions on this. Thanks

If you are using outlook, you can import all of that information from within outlook. Just point it at your old drive and folder where the information is and it should import it.

yeah specify the client you were using, but if by any chance you were using OUTLOOK EXPRESS, do the following, go to :

C:\Documents and Settings\yourOld account\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\

in there you will find some .dbx files, just copy them and paste them onto the same directory but on the new hard drive. and oh make sure while you're at it, Outlook express is closed.
It works the same for Microsoft Outlook except that you need to locate a .pst file

Paratwa, the problem is identifying where the folder is located that contains the addresses.
