Hello, this problem is so bad that I'm almost scared to restart my computer
I need to reboot the thing a really ridiculous amount of times in order for it to start working again. Does anyone have any clue about whats going on?Intel Core 2 Duo 2.66Ghz NVIDIA GeForce 8500GT OCZ 2048mb PC6400 DDR2 800mhz nForce 680i LT Sli 250 GB Western Digital HD 160 GB Western Digital HD 600w X-Infinity SLI Ready PSU Last edited by AwwHailNaw; 01-23-2008 at 04:34 AM. |

I'd get a new mouse and plug it in and try it.
Does the mouse now work fine all the time? Your old mouse was faulty. Problem solved. If your mouse still has the same problem, your motherboard mouse port (if it's PS/2) or USB port (if it's a USB mouse) may have a faulty socket on the motherboard. If it's USB, try another port. I'd start that way to see what happens. ********************************************* I have a mouse that had that problem. It's a Microsoft Optical Mouse Blue, and has a PS/2 adapter that fits on the end of a USB plug. When I had it plugged into the PS/2 port, half the time my PC wouldn't see the mouse, and usually rebooting fixed it... until the next time. Switching to USB solved the problem.
