Default just lookin for some new speakers maybe

well i have the logitech x-530 now and i first i loved them...now ive had them for a year and now i just need more bass (alot more) so i was thinking of getting new ones..they dont have to be 5.1s again ether....around $125-$150 and lower would be good for price to im low on cash

logitechs G51 2.1 $140, Z-2300 2.1 $100, Z-5300e 5.1 $140 are good choices

Agreed, although that second pair will probably be shite. You need to spend a bit more on a nice set of speakers, but if you're considering the z5500's (which I have, and are pretty good in many ways - nice bass, great for films, rubbish mid, a bit harsh up top for me), then you could push it out a bit more.

I use a pair of PMC tb1's which were made in the 80's sometime. I picked them up for a couple of hundered pounds, so maybe $400 or less. 2 way with a port on the back. Really clear, easy to listen to, look great. Of course the music industry standard yamaha ns10's are around $300, but I've heard they sound a bit harsh.

Hunt around for a nice pair, they'll lack the big bass thing you get from these 5.1 systems, but that's not a bad thing; they'll just sound better
