The video card you chose is a newer version of mine, so it should run fear much smoother than mine. (Mine is just slightly laggy at times)

I don't think there's a difference between Home Premium and Ultimate that would suck more memory, most of it's features are just better networking capability. I could be wrong though.

I've been corrected, better security features and networking. Still, I don't see it taking up much more RAM.

It does, trust me on that part. Personal experience tells so. Once on plain idle with absolutely nothing going on, the Vista memory meter told me 33% was used. Out of 2GB too

home premium has the same utilization of RAM at idle

everything vista ultimate offers over home premium are features you must still activate/turn on, they arnt background
