Default Which thermal compound to get...

I'm in need of new thermal compound for my video card and the hsf for both computers.. but I'm not sure which to get.

I found this; Arctic Silver Ceramique Thermal Compound - OEM.. but know nothing about it.

I need to re-paste my 7600GT (the stuff that was on it came off like bread crumbs with a very light touch.. no wonder it idles above 60c) and both PCs (x2 3800+ and a 3500+, both with stock hsf .. which work fine, but I want to re-paste them anyways)

So, is the stuff above fine? .. or should I be looking for something else?

The generally accepted best is Arctic Silver 5, found here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835100007

MX-2 paste has now taken over from artic silver 5 IMO, performs better, its cheaper and doesnt have a cure time.

I won't use an electrically conductive paste for my video card, since the chip has exposed diodes.. so AS5 is out of the loop.

From what I've been reading, since I posted this, the paste I linked to is of high quality.. I just need to know if anybody here has used it for their cpu, if so, did it work out for you?

I used it once, because I didn't have any thermal paste handy and it was just some crate I had kicking around. It actually works quite well. Don't knock it until you've tried it (which you obviously haven't).

You're correct, I haven't.. but then, how many have?

I'm not knocking it, regardless.. I thought you made a joke, and replied accordingly
