Hello - first time poster and know just enough to get into trouble sometimes
![]() I have a Gateway-Intel laptop running XP and had to perform a system recovery the other day when it would not boot up. I partitioned my previous settings/files. After the recovery the system does not go into hybernate as before when closing the lid. 'Power Option Properties' does not have a 'hybernate' tab (I'm assuming it did before) and the drop down window for 'what action to take when lid closed' only has 'do nothing' Right I'm shutting down the computer everytime I pack up to and from the office - getting a bit old. Thoughts?? Any simple fixes? Software? Thanks, Steve |
