Exclamation a sad freaking story about a missing freaking driver

Hey. Hope i can get some help here. I have an Acer TravelMate 2413NLC laptop and had to reinstall my windows (XP Professional) because of spyware and all the other BS. Everything is now fine, but there is no sound. I installed ASTRA32 and found out that my sound controller is this: Mobile Intel(R) 82915GM/GMS/910GML Express Chipset family however i have so far been unable to find a driver that fits. My device manager lists some codecs, but the sound controller is listed in other devices. I tried uninstalling it and then rebooting the machine, but that didnt work. The PC detected the new hardware, but was unable to find the driver for it. I have also serched on the internet and on Intel.com, but had o luck. I really don't know what to do. Any help and constructive advice is welcome! Thanks.

Contact Acer and see if they can provide you with the correct driver. I couldn't find any on their website.

The intel chipset refers to the video card i thinks. Try this for the audio driver... (the 'mswindows' dropdown menu, click on 'realtek audio'
