Default nvidia BIOS splash screen

i have a 7900gt, so right when i turn on my computer, the nvidia splash screen shows for about 2-3 seconds showing logo, copyrighted, and driver version. this is all displayed before my comp even POSTs and detects and the hardware. how do i get rid of this extra screen? i was trying to minimize boot time.

Try going into BIOS and looking under the startup settings (Where you have the choice for a quick startup, long startup, etc.) That may work.

If you are sure it's from the video card and not an nVidia-based motherboard, then the only way to fix it is to either find a tweaked BIOS, or try to edit it yourself using one of the few nVidia BIOS editors, although I doubt you will find a way how to with those.

Using the desktop or regedit has nothing to do with the POST screens, as it occurs well before Windows even starts to load.
