Right now I have an HP ZE2000 laptop and its a slow piece of crap. This might be a dumb question but Is their anyway I can fix it up to a decent computer? If not I want to build a new desktop computer or purchase one depending on what your opinions are.
I am going to use my computer mainly for videos. I want a video card with an hdmi out and a sound card that will connect to my audio receiver with no problems, (I hear static with my current laptop) optical out would be preferable but not necessary. I want to be able to run multiple programs with ease. I download a lot of torrents so if I can do anything to make my download speeds faster that would be great. I don't want to spend that much money, if possible. My range is $500-$700. So should I build my own or does anyone have any good desktop recommendations. Pretty much I am going to be using this PC to download (legally) and watch High def media through my hdtv other than that I don't need much. Sorry, one last thing. I want a 500gb hard drive but I don't want it to be my main hard drive so I was thinking of installing a cheap hard drive to my PC and buy a 500gb external hard drive to store all my media on. Will my PC run okay with a cheap hard drive installed? Thanks for the help and sorry for the long post. Last edited by Omar4GO6; 01-29-2008 at 01:07 PM. |

Sorry for the typing mistake. Should be XMS2.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145034 If you afraid of you OS get crash and need reformat. You should set-up partition. Say C drive having 20GB for your OS and program. Then when you need format and reinstall, just format the C drive If you don't want big HDD with PC. Just get any of Seagate/ West Digital SATA 80GB. But the 160GB provide better value. |
