I am using the G9 mouse on my Surface mouse pad. But i heard from somewhere that it require a Steel pad. So does it realy needful? Will the Surface pad do any damage to the Mouse? Pls pls rep asap...

As far as i know they dont 'need' one. They may run smoother or whatever, but if its working on your current setup then there isnt a problem.
