motherboard problem

I have obtained a Trigem Congnac mobo with a celeron 850 processor, hooked it all up and tried it, everything powered up, but nothing happened, blank screen, no boot, any suggestions, is the battery flat or is my motherboard just a dud.

all the other components work, although they are quite old, i am using them with a soyo mainboard, and athlon 500 K6 processor and was trying to upgrade a bit. thanks

Sounds like it might be a dud... Does it have ram? Good ram? Do you get any beeps? Of course make sure you have a speaker connected to check

I used the RAM from my current system which is 2x strips of 64mb pc133, which according to the info i have found should be ok, apart from it should be non-ecc, which i havnt got a clue if it is or not, or what that means, as for the beeps, not a sausage, but the speaker of built in to the board, with no external connections

Count the chips ... ECC = 9 chips, nonECC = 8

Now you may have a compatability issue with single sided memory vs doublesided memory though
