Default DVI-D Monitor, DVI-I GPU

The new monitor I am buying a DVI-D monitor and I am pretty sure the GPU in the 2nd PC in my sig (nV 6600) is DVI-I as it looks like this (WIKIPEDIA Picutre):

(Without the numbers obviously)

I have done a little checking and I am pretty sure that it would work fine.

Can anyone confirm that the 2 are compatable and will have no problems?

Yes, the X38 chipset supports PCIe 2.0. And yes, your monitor is compatible with your video card. DVI-D just stands for digital only, i.e. you couldn't use an analog adapter on the monitor and use an analog cable. DVI-I stands for integrated, which means you can use an adapter on the vidya card and use the DVI out as an analog out.
