When cleaning my PC, people are saying to use compressed air? Should i believe them?

Wouldnt compress air destroy my motherboard or hardware since it's blowing air towards the hardware?

No. Not unless you hold it sideways or don't shake it enough, and end up spraying the compressed liquid at your stuff.

Why would air hurt your hardware?

lol blowing air is exactly what pc's need more of! the computers themselves use fans to blow air as fast as possible over extremely sensitive components, so compressed air will do nothing. even if you were to get some water on the computer, just wait till its dry, (without turning it on) and it will be fine.

oh and unplug it before you begin spraying it...

I use the vacuum cleaner. Don't see the point in blowing the dust around.

Deffo, to give a dusty PC its bling back I use the work compressor, take off all fans and side panels then give it a good blast... comes out good as new, works for me every time.

when i was building my computer the metal thing that attaches to the case that let's the motherboard outlets stick out of the case cut me pretty bad. i bled over several components before i realized it. anyway, blood dries fast, so i let it dry, wiped off as much as i could with rubbing alcohol and a lint-free cloth, and turned it on. been running ever since! so if blood can't hurt it, i don't think cold air will do much damage.

I've actually heard that you should keep your computer plugged in so that it can stay grounded.
