Post where to put subwoofer for best performance

where is the best place to put my sub?? its not big. the system is the logitech x-240. i have a hutch...should i put it on top, or on the floor next to my desk??

I heard 2 subs are not very good as once cancels the other out.

Nope, two subs work just fine. If you have two subs that have two different boxes (ie two different size airspaces), then certain frequencies will cancel eachother out.

surround it close to as much wall space as you can, which is most likely a corner. the wall amplifies the low frequencies. if you have carpet, try to raise it off the carpet a little because carpet might dampen the boomy bass

Well it's true. If you're gonna have 2 subs you can't really have a home cinema setup with them. Some areas will have 2 times the bass, some areas will have almost none
