I have been working on a mac for somebody. They have an old original imac and I am moving the data from the old mac to a new mac mini. I transferred the data via flash drive and I copied it onto the Hard Drive of the new mac. The old mac is running OS 9 and the new one is running OS X. Most of the stuff converted was in .doc format. It was converted in some weird Unix file. It opens fine, but it opens in Microsoft Word. He wants it to open in apple works. I tried opening it in apple works, but it does not open. Since it is a Unix file. But, opens in word automatically. The reason I do not want to open in MS Word because it is an evaluation version. How do I change the default applications? Should I install Neo Office?
