two kicks bring italy back into it but a mistake allows a cracking break from england, Toby flood in the end diving towards the far corner.

Wilko converts which gives him 1000 points in international rugby, superb barrier to break that!

Italy 6 - 14 England

Terrible second half from England this, much the same as last week, Italy have just scored a later try and convert it to bring the score to Italy 19 - 23 England. 5 minutes left on the clock, need to hold on to this.

that was pish england, you were lucky to get out of that with anything. at least you've got a win though, Scotland look shocking - I'm relying on beating either england or italy to avoid the wooden spoon; both look beatable.

Italy will get the wooden spoon I think, the only reason they didnt win today was because they were poor at converting their chances, in the first half they couldn't win a line up to save their lives. We were there for the taking but Italy just couldnt capitalise.

Calcutta cup will be ours though

England are getting like Ireland l8ly. They look good in the first half then get complacent and lay back!

This is how i think the table will look when it is over -

France
Ireland
England (Or)
Wales
Italy (Or)
Scotland

EDIT:Sorry forgot Scotland ta jimmymac

lmao

Im at a total loss as to what our boys are doing. Total lack of shape, discipline, composure. Everything just falls part in the 2nd half.
I was looking to the big names to keep the team together wilko, Gomarsall. But they just ran out of ideas.... and bringing Wigglesworth and Cipriani on still had no impact (except to gift italy a try via a poor kick by Cipriani)
You can forgive italys late try, a charge down can happen to anyone. But you cant fogive the number of errors and turnover lost.

Im loving watching Vainikolo.... expect big things from him in the next 3 games, provided we can stop kicking the ball long enough to feed him something

Overall, poor start against relatively poor opposition. With Ireland and France to come I'm not hopeful. Whatever was said to the team back in mid-September needs to be repeated
