Default Ram questions

Hey everyone. Idk if youll be able to answer my question with what i know but...

I have a Dell with windows ME in it. I bought it in either 2000 or 2001 its one of the like stock dell towers that they sell. Like the base one or whatever.
My question is how much RAM does it come with and also how much RAM can the motherboard support. Im gonna buy some more for it unless it already has 512....Also what type of RAM does it need...

One old Dell recently restored to see 98SE installed on it came stock with only 64mb of PC100 memory! Knowing the model number will help is seeing if the system there runs the same or uses PC133 as a requirement. There's no DDR memory there. The max would be 512mb for the most on the old systems.

Run CPU-Z or PC Wizard 2008 and tell us if it's DDR or SD. Either that or the model number as stated above.

One much smaller and less complicated for listing everything on an older system is the System Info for Windows(SIW) tool free at http://www.gtopala.com/ That will run on 98 as well as Vista for seeing just what you have there.
