Angry crashes

Well i have never had problems until now. It seems like when i get to a video with a part that pushes the onboard graphics(nvidia 6100) it makes lines across the whole screen the color of the texture and makes me have to flip the power switch on the surge protector. It also does it while im just surfing the net. It does it on a free game I have too. But in games like day of defeat or hl2dm it just freezes for about 2 seconds and says it had an error and needed to close. The worst part is twice, first when i clicked on source dedicated server and once while i was just surfing the net, it blue screened! I dont think it would be overheating but ive never checked it...The computer is a emachines w3544. Please help!!!!

you probably can't check the heat for an igp, no need to.
first try updating the drivers and see if it happens again.

Sounds like your onboard is dying. Try another GFX (if possible). Otherwise, try putting a household fan on the side of your computer (with the side panel open).
