Default homework help

hey guys, i need help with chemistry...which i suck at

3)Explain in words and calculations how you determined the number of moles of Mg (magnesium) and O (oxygen) that reacted. How did you determine their molar ratio and their accepted molar ratio?

Mass of Mg reacted = .3g
moles of MG reacted = 8mol

help meh please:con fused::con fused:

Ooo...chemistry! And moles, to boot! It's been a while, but I think I need more info. Is there anything else relevant to that question?

Mol = weight of sample (g) / molar weight (g/mol)

here's a decent sized data table:

Mass of dry crucible plus cover: 24.8g
Mass of Crucible, cover, and Mg: 24.9g
mass of crucible, cover, and product: 25g (first heating (time elapsed 1 minute))
constant mass of crucible, cover, and product: 25g

Mass of MG reacted: .3
moles of MG reacted: 8mol
mass of product: .3
