Default Media Center Extender Question.

Hi everyone.

Heres my situation. I have all kinds of Music, Movies, And Pictures on a hard drive in my computer room. This computer is running Media Center 2005 (Tho I dont use the media center AT ALL on this computer, its just the OSS It came with the PC). Now, I also have a much less powerful computer in my living room on a network with this computer. This PC is hooked to my 42" HDTV. I run media center ONLY on that computer, its set to start up with MC open and thats all it does. This PC also has a TV tuner in it so its the only thing hooked to that TV. Well recently the ethernet port on that PC started acting up. I know I could get a PCI card and fix that issue but I want to go a diffrent route. I have been hearing about these media center extenders that might just do exactly what that PC does.

I found a popular Linksys Media Center Extender for a GREAT price:

LINKSYS WMCE64AG

But I want HD.. So I found this one:

any comments or ideas?

You may need a PC to run as server...
Not sure as never experience of that.

Here is an article talking about The Media Center Extender, may help you to know a bit detail
