i have the logitech x-240 system. if u look it up, ull notice it had a wired remot with a headphone jack. the system is connected to my sound card. creative x-fi xtreme music. my sound card also has a headphone jack. whaeres the best place to plug in my headphones? the remote? or the card?

Not the card mate. If it's plugged into the card you have to adjust the volume in windows, plug it into the jack on the speakers and you get a volume knob I presume. The sound quality will be identical from either.
