Default Life is a series of small achievements

life is a series of small achievements, be it... getting an A on a test, solving that annoying computer issue, finishing a piece of work, getting to work on time, waking up on time, losing that little bit of weight, running that little bit faster, posting that little bit more.

Everyday is series of small successes and failures, with the occasional large event interspersed.

Today, I made it to work dispite being ill.
Yesterday I managed to paint my bedroom ceiling.
These are what it means to be me. But in reflection these are not the things I remember.... my memory is trained to forget this minor matters and focus in detail on the great achievements marriage, mortgage, job...

It's important to remember that the little moments in ones life define our existence, and how the world sees us. Shakespeare said that "all the world is a stage", but we should not live our lives as a play, compartmentalizing our past by reference to a few major events and think that this is our life. It is our daily goals that form the backdrop that will ultimately determine is the play is worth watching.

So here is your manuscript, what small goals do you want to remember today.

Today I'd like to go to my second job interview and blow them away. Just waiting on the call so they can tell me what time to show up.

Very nice apj. I'm actually starting to remember those small accomplishments more and more, like going to work even when you're a little sick. Or getting through the day without having an altercation with that person that you (or anyone else, for that matter...) completely doesn't get along with... Anyway, here's to achieving those small goals in order to make those larger goals (saving up enough money for a big screen TV...), that much easier...

Well, I have a few I like to look back on, and some goals to look forward to completing.
  • Currently running 3 sites.
  • I am getting better with hosting gaming servers.
  • I am working hard on completing school by May.
  • And just some other stuff.

I'm pretty proud of replacing my clutch and flywheel in 3 days. Never done it before, worked solo most of the time. It was really hard, I messed up a few things here and there, but in the end I fixed everything and the car runs great.

Well.. I had my Senior/Grad pictures today after school. I seriously, strongly dislike having my pictures taken by anyone else other than myself or close friends.
I sat there and actually relaxed, had fun, even smiled. I just hope they all turn out nice. =]

Just getting through each day is an accomplishment for me. I've been going through a lot with my parents as they are separating. Maybe it's for the better? Maybe for the Worse? I don't know yet. My main goal though is to come out of this ordeal for the better, and if I accomplish that, then all the hardship and pain will be worth it.
