do an ipconfig /release ipconfig /renew if you have DHCP enabled on the 2wire this should fix it.

In cmd (msdos prompt). Go to Start>Run>Type "cmd" and then what he said. I presume you are running windows.

yeah i did that i know how to use it now but it is asking me some thing else im runing in a spanish window version of vista its says it requires an "elevation" or something i dont know what it means (la operacion solicitada requeire elevacion) i guess its asking me for the modem name or something like that but i tried to put something like this /ipconfig /renew [gateway.2wire.net] and its asking me for that elevation so what do i do now?

u got me... i cant think what elevation would be... oh and its just ipconfig /renew not /ipconfig /renew

Or you can go to control panel... network connections... right click on the network card in question (probably Local Area Connection) and choose repair... it essentially does a release and renew.... and i think a flushdns and a registerdns
