Prank on a scammer

Some of you probably remember those threads we get every now and then trying to sell laptops for $300, phones for $50, etc. Well I decided to e-mail one of them pretending I was interested, and here's how the conversations went so far.

(Red is me, Blue is the scammer)

Hi, I saw your post on a forum not too long ago and I am very interested in buying one of the Macbook's! I was looking at this one:

MacBook Pro 15.4" 2.2GHz Core 2 Duo/2GB /120GB /SD /AP /BT ----$400

I mainly want to use this for internet, word processing, e-mail, and a few older games. Do you think this would be a good choice? Once I saw your thread I couldn't stand to let this deal go by, thanks again for the extremely low priced item! I can't wait to hear back from you, then we can discuss payment!

Hello, thanks for the prompt reply! Since the price is so cheap I should probably buy two of them, one for school and one for home. Western Union sounds great since I know they prevent against fraud, so I feel much safer now.

I think you just got the order mixed up, but could I get the two 15.4" laptops instead? The 17's are a little too big for me.

And thats where I am now, I haven't replied to his last e-mail. If you picked up on it, the address I gave him is actually the address of the FBI in Washington D.C., just with a fake name using my real first name. Any ideas on what I should do next?

lol, thats genius! I would find a picture of a western union document and forge it up and send it to em. Or just go to the post office or local mail facility and get a western union paper to scan.

couldnt the police pay for them and then track down whoevers doing it?

do it with one of them nigerian scammers

I would say find a way to make western union look like it payed him so he sends the (most likely fake) laptop. Or be like "can we use this other money service" then link him your own home made site.

Something I saw, you asked for 2 15.4 inch notebooks, yet he is saying he is sending two 17inches. Perhaps you could email him back about that?

After reading up on similar stories, it turns out that the majority of the scammers never actually ship the items.
