hi guys, i haven't been on here in quite some time. anyway, i'm in the process of building a htpc for my 60" sony bravia. this tv is full 1080p with hdmi imputs, as well as a vga imput marked "pc".
i already know i don't wanna use the vga imput, so i got a dvi to hdmi adapter for the hd2600xt video card i'm going to use. now i have comcast digital cable with hd service and a dvr, which is set up to hdmi imput 1. i'd like to put the htpc as hdmi imput 2. my question is whether or not i'll need a hdtv tuner card for this system, or would i be better off using my existing dvr, as all the tuner cards i've seen have coax imputs. this is confusing to me, i've never built one of these before. any help would be appreciated. here's the complete system specs: asus a8v mobo amd dual core 2.2 cpu 2 gigs dual channel ddr corsair audigy 2zs platinum sound hd2699xt video card (agp) 320 gig wd ide drive lg combo blu-ray and hd-dvd player/ dvd burner vista home premium
