I cant spit out any numbers right now but from what i have seen PCMCIA is better for that purpose over USB.. performance wise and reliability. Also the usb cards tend to stick out far and if you bump it on accident you can damage the port. When it comes to brands for wireless i recommend Dlink and Linksys... and i think most people will agree with that.

Default Usb / Pcmcia

Hi,

Realistically there is no real difference. PCMCIA and USB 2.0 have very similar transfer speeds so that should be the same, allot of new laptop's no longer have the PCMCIA socket as it has been replaced with a newer PCI Express slot that narrows at the connection end.

Hope this helps,

Dave
