CPU Bottlenecking? Ram temps? GPU weight?

Alright, so I got a couple of questions here for you guys

Firstly, it seems that I'm getting lower FPS than I should be getting in some not so demanding games. My GPU is an 8800GT and my CPU is an e2180 at stock. Do you think this might be the source of bottlenecking? I was already thinking of overclocking, but my question will overclocking it to substantial speeds stop the bottlenecking completely?

Also, my damn GPU seems to be too heavy, and when I have it on the mobo it seems to have a little slant. Any suggestions and ways you guys find around this?

Lastly! My ram seems to be the hottest component of the PC..is this normal?

EDIT: Couple more things..on CPU-Z it keeps putting my multi on CPU from 6x to 10x..weird.
What's up with that?

Does your ram have heat sinks?

well the heatsinks should be somewhat hot as they are the ones taking the heat away from your actual memory/the chips on the memory stick. as for the rest of your questions im no good w/GPUs as i dont game. but the memory is going to be hot as you are probably gaming for a while and it will heat up. no worries.

Ummm, on the GPU, make sure you have it screwed into the case, if not it is likely to sag and/or eventually rip off the mobo.

Your multiplier changed because you have enabled speedstep or some other power saving function. It is throttling your CPU to save power by lowering the frequency and also reducing the amount of heat produced. You can disable it in the BIOS.
I would think your CPU is the bottleneck, the 8800GT is a very high performing graphics card. I have an 8800GTS which is identical to the 8800GT expect for an extra 10 unified shaders, and my CPU Core 2 Quad Q6600 restricts its performance at stock. I have to overclock my CPU to realise the full potential of my GPU, I would definitely recommend you overclock your CPU abit.
Yeah the RAM sticks gets rather hot, I have DDR2 800 ram sticks with heat sinks on them, and when I placed one of my temperature probes on them it reported a value of 55 degrees inside a game, so yeah, they can get hot.
