How can you tell if your MOBO onboard sound is DX9 compatible?
My son has Guitar hero 3 PC and it will play on my system but there is no music just crowd background noise. The system plays cds fine. Here is what i'm running Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L MOBO Intel 6750 3 G 2ddram Have installed all drivers??? Guitar heroes only audio requirement is direct X9 compatibility. Thanks Tod |

If you have Windows XP, then you almost certainly have DirectX 9. If you keep you PC up to date then you will most certainly have it.
The way to check is to select Start> Run...> and type dxdiag and click OK. This post is in dedication of APJ101's Stop threads with 0 responses dying.
