Default Power Supply

This may be a dumb question, but I am going to ask it anyways. I am currently running a 300w power supply. If I upgrade it to say a 700w power supply will it run a risk of burning out any of my hardware (cpu, motherboard, cd-rom etc.)?

No, your computer will only pull as much as needed.

There's a great power in words, if you don't hitch too many of them together.

If your system is a low end one, there's no real reason to upgrade. It'll only make your efficiency drop...
