Since I was planning on getting a new power supply I decided it was time to do it now. So I installed it and it powered everything up but still didn't recognize the monitor. I did notice a few things: The fans work because they are directly connected to PSU and the CPU fan turns on for a fraction of time and then doesn't spin for the whole time the computer is 'running". Could it be a problem with my motherboard, possibly fried?

take the graphics card out and put it back in.
its possible its come loose some how. in fact, take everything out, and only put the motherboard, cpu, 1 stick of ram, the graphics card in and plug the power supply in. see if it works then. if it does, plug in the harddrive and dvd drive and if that works then cool. |
