Default Zednik Injury

Did anyone see the Florida vs Buffalo game yesterday? Zednik got his neck cut by Jokinen's skate as he fell. Here's the clip of it, it's not as graphic as when Clint Malarchuk got his neck cut in 1989 (http://youtube.com/watch?v=_CI7c-rxFMU) but you can see a very long line of blood from where he got hit all the way to the bench.

He's in stable condition after having surgery.

That's too bad. He's at least okay right now, so that's good.

I'm surprised my stepdad didn't tell me this, he's the hockey fan of this house.. though he does only tend to watch the Canadien games.

Too bad there isn't some sort of flexible neck guard they can wear to prevent accidents like these, even if they are rare.

That second one... God... scary how strong we're built yet can so easily be taken down.
