Default CPU Reccomendations?

Hi, I've recently put together my own system which I'm very pleased with however the intel stock fan is driving me mad with it's noise. Could anyone suggest me a good cheap (£20ish) heatsync and fan, that will be close to silent?

I'm using an Intel DC 2180 CPU, that I don't overclock as of yet, but may do in the future. There isn't too much I do to tax the temp of the CPU, so it is more the case of getting something quiet that is small, so to fit in my micro atx case. The chipset is 775.

Any ideas would be appreciated, I've looked at a lot of sites but I'd like to hear from experience ideally.

Thanking you.

Are you sure it's the CPU fan that's the culprit? I've found them to be reasonably quiet..
If it is the fan, perhaps you could slow it down a tad using speedfan or in the bios.

1) Please do not double post
2) Open up the case and make sure. A stock cooler should be quite quiet.
