Default Movies Play With No Color - Or Colors Not Aligned.

I have been having this problem for months. I have even reformated three times and it keeps folowing. I have not changed any software, I never did this before so I dont know why its doing it now.

I originally used XP Codec Pack and it all worked fine. then one day some of my movied played in black and white, or the colors were no lighned up. like I would see three diffrent copys of what I was watching, one blue one red one green offset by a few inches.

I uninstalled xp coded pack and tried CCCP. MVK?.,. combined comunity codec pack and it did the same thing.. I then reformated and downloaded a fresh copy of xp codec pack and it did the same thing. All my movies play perfect on my other computer so I know the files are fine.

I am using the newest version of the codec pack and I am stumped. any help would be great.

Thanks

I also tried using WinDVD8's codecs and it does the same thing

my problem is with windows media player... I have tried the latest version, but I prefer 9. makes no diffrence.. everything plays fine in VLC media player and WinDVD8. Just not media player

Yeah i had a similar problem and i fixed it by changing the acceleration. Go into WMP then Tools> Options> Performance> and put the Video Acceleration slider down. I have mine on none but just do it till its just right, that is if thats the problem
